Construction Survey CAD Technician

About the role

Kapur & Associates is a well-established, employee-owned consulting engineering firm with over 40 years of experience in providing engineering, survey, site design, transportation, municipal, construction inspection, and construction management services. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Survey CAD Technician to join our team in Jeffersonville, IN.

Responsibilities

• Compute various types of surveys including topographic, boundary, and construction surveys.
• Set up staking files for field crews using CAD software.
• Process mapping and scanning work to produce accurate survey deliverables.
• Collaborate with project managers and surveyors to confirm accurate and timely completion of projects.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation.
• Assist with quality control checks to verify accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications

• Average of 5+ years of experience with CAD platforms such as MicroStation, Civil 3D, or Trimble Business Center is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
