Construction Support Technologist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced utility construction professional to provide construction support for electric utility distribution projects. This individual will serve as the critical link between engineering design teams and field construction crews, ensuring projects are constructed according to design intent while identifying and resolving field issues throughout the construction process.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.

This is a hybrid position in Tampa, FL.

The position is anticipated to close on Oct 26, 2026.

The work environment for this position is primarily outdoors at active construction sites, with occasional office work to complete reports and administrative tasks. The noise level is moderate to loud at construction sites due to machinery, vehicles, and other on-site activities. The office environment is generally quiet to moderate when completing paperwork or data entry tasks. The employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind. The role involves frequent visits to active construction sites, which may include exposure to dust, debris, and hazardous conditions. Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, reflective vests, and steel-toed boots is mandatory on site.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the liaison between distribution design team and construction contractors during project execution.
• Review construction activities to ensure compliance with approved engineering plans and
