About the role
The Construction Supervisor Level 3 Senior position is a one-year contract located in Hobbs, NM. This role is offered onsite and includes per diem.
Responsibilities
- Know the SAFETY PLAN and kickoff meeting
- Site Specific Orientation (contractor should host)
- Read and understand permits, road use agreements, crossing agreements, SWPPP, haul routes, drawings, material, schedule, QA/QC, submittals to engineering for review
- Set expectations, lead, and train the other team members
- Complete Site Safety Orientation and Site-Specific Safety Plan and fill out Safety Assessments / CIL's (unifier)
- Report and document (included in Weekly report to CM) and QA/QC (Unifier) and Site Photo's
- Develop a good relationship with the contractor (if possible)
- Be engaged in the project
- Ensure quality project (know the specs and drawings)
- Understand the schedule (C1 and Contractor P-6)
- Track progress, approve the CSU (project Tracking Spread sheet needs to be accurate)
- Maintain environmental constraints before/during work activities (SWPPP)
- Stay involved in outage/crossing coordination
- Oversee the success of the project, ensuring zero injuries and meeting the schedule with a quality product
- Prepare and submit accurate reports to the management chain, all the way up to the executive VP, including weekly reports to the CM
- Manage the team to gather necessary information for accurate reporting
- Communicate with the PM when help is needed, providing the background story
- Reports/Trackers are due on Fridays by 5pm project time
- Manage the Material Manager to help with the delivery schedule of material
- Help manage the delivery schedule of material, find missing material, and work with vendors to improve shipping dates
- Utilize the knowledge of the Safety Team to improve safety through conversations and CIL's
- Utilize the knowledge of SME's (subject matter experts) to solve problems
- Utilize the knowledge of Land Agents for planning and information about difficult landowners and land agreements
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years as a construction manager
- Transmission line experience is imperative for this position

Base salary range: $50/hour to $55/hour with per diem
