Construction Superintendent - DOB Licensed

Founded in the late 1980s, we are a New York City based construction and development firm with roughly 150 employees, including a large concentration of project management, field supervision, and skilled trades professionals operating across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. We specialize in ground-up construction, interior buildouts, structural upgrades, and complex renovations for commercial, hospitality, retail, residential, and educational clients.

About the role

We are seeking a DOB Licensed Superintendent who will oversee field operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage day-to-day construction activities across active NYC project sites. Our work at NYC job sites requires strict compliance with Department of Buildings regulations, safety standards, and licensed supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations on NYC construction projects requiring a DOB Licensed Superintendent, ensuring full compliance with all Department of Buildings regulations
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and field teams to maintain schedule, quality, and safety performance throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct regular site inspections, verify safety protocols, and maintain accurate daily logs and DOB documentation
• Interface with clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution
• Manage site logistics, enforce safety plans, and support project leadership with progress reporting and field coordination

Requirements

• Active NYC DOB Superintendent License
• Proven experience as a Superintendent on commercial, hospitality, retail, residential, or educational construction projects
• Strong knowledge of NYC construction regulations, DOB requirements, and jobsite safety standards
• Ability to manage multiple trades, coordinate field activities, and maintain strict compliance documentation
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to work in fast-paced NYC environments

Pay

$150,000 - $180,000 + Bonus
