Construction Superintendent
Trueline's client, a rapidly growing energy infrastructure company developing, owning, and operating large-scale battery storage, solar, and distributed energy projects, is seeking a Construction Superintendent to join its fully remote team. This is a unique senior-level opportunity combining field leadership on major energy infrastructure projects with the critical responsibility of serving as the company's Nevada Qualifying Individual (QI) under its Class B contractor's license. The immediate focus includes a 154 MW battery energy storage project in Nevada, with approximately 25-30% company-paid travel expected.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the company's designated Qualifying Individual for its Nevada Class B contractor's license
- Maintain compliance with Nevada State Contractors Board requirements associated with the company's license and qualifying construction activities
- Support licensing renewals, required filings, and regulatory communications related to the Nevada contractor's license
- Lead day-to-day field construction activities for large-scale battery storage, solar, and distributed energy infrastructure projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field crews, and project stakeholders to keep construction safe, organized, and on schedule
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, field productivity, change orders, and construction risks
- Maintain regular field reports, punch lists, progress documentation, and project closeout records
- Conduct site inspections and ensure work meets plans, specifications, permit requirements, applicable codes, and quality expectations
- Lead jobsite safety expectations and ensure compliance with applicable OSHA and project requirements
- Identify potential licensing, project scope, subcontractor, or compliance issues and communicate them quickly to company leadership
- Support preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, permitting, and coordination with engineering and development teams
- Coordinate with utilities, contractors, and other project stakeholders as projects move from development through construction
- Travel to Nevada project sites as needed while working remotely when not required onsite
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Nevada Class B contractor's license in good standing
- Willingness and eligibility to serve as the company's Nevada Qualifying Individual
- 5+ years of construction Superintendent, Project Manager, or comparable field leadership experience
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades on complex construction projects
- Strong project management capabilities, including scheduling, budget tracking, documentation, and change management
- Understanding of Nevada contractor licensing requirements and responsibilities associated with serving as a QI
- Strong knowledge of construction safety, quality control, permitting, and field execution
- Ability to operate independently in a remote, high-trust environment
- Excellent communication and judgment when working with leadership, subcontractors, regulators, and project stakeholders
- Ability to travel approximately 25-30% to Nevada project sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction experience
- Solar, renewable energy, distributed energy, utility, or power infrastructure experience
- Data center or other mission-critical infrastructure construction experience
- OSHA 30 certification
- PMP certification or formal project management training
- Nevada utility interconnection and permitting experience
- Additional active contractor licenses in other states
- Experience supporting large, complex energy projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout

Pay
