Construction Superintendent

About the role

Whiting-Turner is seeking qualified field supervision for various commercial projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team-based working environment.

Qualifications

• 5 to 20+ years of experience in the industry
• Track record for delivering complex projects without delays and emphasis on delighting the customer
• Proven ability to implement and maintain full control of all field matters while enforcing safety, adherence to schedule and maintaining quality expectations on site

Preferred skills

• Strong commitment to promoting safety including certifications comparable to OSHA 30
• Ability to be a leader and a mentor as part of diverse team
• Effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Knowledge of construction principles and ambition to succeed/advance
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Practitioner of innovation and continuous improvement
• Experience with scheduling methodologies and software
• Experience managing financial impacts on site
• Ability to interpret and implement technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material installation instructions and engineering/architectural drawings

Education

Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in construction management, construction technology, an engineering discipline or engineering technology.
