About the role
The Construction Superintendent supports the Construction Engineer or Manager in executing construction activities across all project phases. This role ensures that construction work is planned, coordinated, and executed according to project schedules, quality requirements, and health, safety, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Support execution of construction activities across all project phases
- Provide technical support to discipline supervision teams to facilitate work execution
- Ensure proper preparation of construction activities prior to execution
- Review and coordinate construction deliverables and site activities
- Interface with field engineering for clarification on design and drawings
- Prepare and manage reports related to construction progress and activities
- Assist in preparation and management of extra work orders
- Assign work to discipline supervisors and oversee execution
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure proper coordination of activities
- Support site leadership in managing daily construction operations
- Ensure effective communication across construction, engineering, and project teams
- Identify and escalate issues or impediments impacting construction progress
- Ensure compliance with schedule, quality, and HSE requirements
- Maintain adherence to project procedures and construction standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant field experience in construction or similar industry
- Strong operational understanding of construction processes
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Ability to supervise and manage experienced subcontractors
- Fluency in professional English
