Construction Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction site operations, including scheduling, coordination, and progress tracking.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, labor crews, and vendors.
• Monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones.
• Maintain daily construction logs, progress reports, and site documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Monitor workmanship and maintain quality control standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, inspectors, and clients.
• Communicate project progress, issues, and schedule updates to stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve field issues to minimize project delays.
• Assist with subcontractor coordination, equipment scheduling, and site logistics.
• Support material procurement and ensure timely delivery of construction materials.
• Monitor project costs and support budget adherence.
• Enforce OSHA safety requirements and maintain a safe job site.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate inspections, punch list activities, and project closeout.
• Support project documentation and reporting throughout the construction lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar supervisory role.
• Experience managing commercial and/or heavy construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and field operations.
• Experience supervising subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and regulatory compliance.
• Experience using construction management software such as Procore and Microsoft Project preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA Safety Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Construction management certifications or superintendent credentials preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
