Construction Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Superintendent leads on-site operations for JF Petroleum Group, a premier provider of turn-key fueling infrastructure solutions across North America. You will ensure projects progress safely, on schedule, and profitably while meeting customer and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise all on-site subcontractors.
• Communicate project requirements, priorities, and safety standards to site staff.
• Coordinate with customers or their representatives regarding progress and issues.
• Read and enforce plans, specifications, environmental regulations, fire codes, and building codes.
• Lead pre-construction, safety, progress, and inspection meetings, as well as store openings.
• Maintain accurate daily records of tests, inspections, progress, visitors, and schedule impacts.
• Supervise daily activities of workers, subcontractors, and material suppliers.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate the project schedule.
• Enforce safety rules, correct hazards, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Conduct weekly job-site safety meetings.
• Keep the job site orderly and free of safety hazards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Willingness to work after-hours, in all weather conditions, and travel as needed.
• Ability to safely operate industry-specific tools and equipment.
• Obtain or maintain required certifications.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check if driving for the company.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and standing for 8–10 hours per day.
