Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure that all aspects of construction projects are carried out in accordance with contract specifications, design plans, and regulations.
  • Monitor the progress of the construction work and ensure it adheres to the schedule.
  • Monitor and approve time for your crews.
  • Manage and direct construction crews and subcontractors, ensuring the project is completed efficiently.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring all team members are properly trained and equipped to perform their tasks.
  • Resolve any issues that arise on-site and make real-time decisions to keep the project on track.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Investigate any accidents or incidents that occur on-site and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all construction activities meet the required quality standards, and coordinate with inspectors to ensure all work passes inspections.
  • Monitor workmanship, materials, and equipment to ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Identify potential issues early and take corrective actions to avoid delays or costly rework.
  • Follow and maintain detailed construction schedules developed with/by PM, tracking progress against timelines and ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to ensure the project stays within budget, manage costs, and prevent overruns.
  • Provide regular reports to the project manager on project status and timeline adjustments.
  • Oversee the procurement, delivery, and storage of materials and equipment required for the project.
  • Ensure that materials and equipment are used efficiently and are properly maintained throughout the duration of the project.
  • Cookordinate with Project Managers and potentially suppliers to ensure timely delivery and availability of materials.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all activities on-site, including daily logs, crew time, equipment status, reports, safety inspections, and incident reports.
  • Aid in preparing project close-out documentation and ensure proper filing of all project-related documents.
  • Address and resolve any issues, conflicts, or disputes that arise on the job site.
  • Work with subcontractors and team members to find solutions to construction-related challenges while minimizing delays.

Qualifications

  • At least 5-7 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Experience managing large-scale residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects is highly preferred.
  • OSHA 30-hour or 40-hour Certification, First Aid/CPR Certification, and any other relevant safety certifications are preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficient in construction management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction plans.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality control and safety.
