Construction Superintendent

About the role

Location: Fairbanks, AK

The essential duties and responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• On-site implementation and coordination of the project plans per the SOW
• Schedule and execute all phases of construction
• Estimating experience including RSMeans
• Attendance at regular internal and external tailgate meetings including daily discussions on project health and safety
• Preparation of daily reports with Project Manager, Site Safety & Health Officer, and QCM
• Review and processing of project submittals
• Active role in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with all on-site staff
• Coordination with on-site subcontractors
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years in Construction with a preference for Federal/DOD work
• OSHA 30 Training
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers
• Excellent computer skills, skilled in Microsoft® Office programs
• Construction management experience
• Supervisory responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Federal government or DOD experience in construction
• First Aid/CPR certified

Physical Requirements

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.

Work Environment

The work environmental characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the role. Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
