POSITION SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process and code vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Aid with lien releases and billings
  • Support collections efforts and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end close processes including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation
  • Aid with year-end audit preparation and provide supporting documentation as needed
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and internal controls
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, construction industry preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment
  • Experience with construction accounting software (Plexxis, Procore, Sage, Textura, or similar) desirable
  • Familiarity with construction industry concepts such as job costing, WIP, and lien releases a plus
