About the role
Kleinfelder's Golden, CO office seeks experienced Construction Materials Special Inspectors to join our team. This position involves performing construction observation and materials testing services on various projects to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. Responsibilities include following proper procedures, completing work in a timely manner, preparing daily field observation reports and materials testing data sheets, performing accurate computations, and maintaining cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, and contractors. This position may require travel from time to time.

Requirements
- 3 years minimum of construction materials testing or inspection experience
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade 1 certification
- Radiation safety training for the operation of a nuclear density gauge
- 3 years minimum of soils observation and testing
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Able to use a company-provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Good work ethic and high level of personal integrity
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Construction field materials testing certifications (e.g., Asphalt, concrete, workzone, pavement marking, environmental, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Hold current certifications with ICC and/or WAQTC
Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $24.11 - $40.25 per hour, based on individual qualifications and experience.
