Construction Services Technician

About the role

You'll be part of a highly trained and experienced team that performs observations and testing during earthwork and facility construction for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects (including oil and natural gas facilities).

Responsibilities

• Earthwork inspections and field testing
• Reinforced concrete inspections, sampling and field testing
• Foundation bearing grade inspections
• Structural steel inspections including welded and bolted connections
• Cold-formed metal framing inspections
• Structural wood framing inspections
• Reinforced concrete masonry unit inspections and mortar and grout testing
• Spray applied fireproofing and intumescent coatings testing and inspections
• Interpret codes and standards, geotechnical reports, project plans and specifications
• Use Microsoft Office, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
• Write accurate and concise field reports
• Travel for out-of-town assignments

Requirements

• 2+ years field experience working on construction projects
• NICET, ICC, and ACI certifications
• Associates degree preferred

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret codes and standards, geotechnical reports, project plans and specifications
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
• Willingness to travel periodically for out-of-town assignments
