Construction Services Specialist

About the Role

Jones & Henry has an opening for a full-time Construction Services Specialist (Resident Project Representative - RPR) to observe and review assigned construction projects for compliance with engineering plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Collect, maintain, and organize construction documentation.
• Travel to construction project sites to review worksite compliance with engineering plans and specifications.
• Maintain strong client relationships as the company’s representative on the project site.
• Maintain strong relationships and communication with contractors and subcontractors.
• Verify design plan accuracy in the field.
• Consult with contractors and engineers regarding construction practices, construction reports, and engineering designs.
• Review changes in construction and materials specifications due to developments occurring during project construction with the Project Manager or Project Engineer.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an Engineering-related program. Preferred education is a Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited curriculum at a four-year college.
• Knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, procedures, and principles.
• Ability to deal with abstract concepts during actual construction.
• Ability to understand and communicate technical specifications and literature with construction personnel.
• Ability and experience in communicating technical matters relating to the project to the Project Manager and/or Contractors both orally and in writing.
