The Construction Services Travel Foreman will be onsite to lead and oversee the Construction Services Travel Team responsible for specialized construction cleaning operations. They will ensure all cleaning procedures are executed according to strict guidelines and customer standards, while maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety. This position travels 90% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Construction Services Travel Team cleaners to ensure all cleaning operations are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide direction and guidance to team members, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and customer requirements.
  • Create a safety culture that believes all incidents are preventable. Safety performance will be better than industry standard.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Monitor all types of cleaning procedures to ensure compliance with applicable construction, cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and customer standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of cleaning operations to identify deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain detailed document control and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and promptly. This includes any required pre-and-post photographic evidence of work completed, client sign off of work completed, change order management, ETC.
  • Lead and participate in continuous training programs, including cGMP training, technical skills development, multiple safety programs, and performance improvement.
  • Review changes to cGMP documentation and retrain team members as needed.
  • Assist in the cross-training of Controlled personnel to ensure a versatile and knowledgeable/trained team.
  • Oversee micro-cleaning of all surfaces within controlled environments, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and floors.
  • Ensure all cleaning operations are documented precisely according to customer SOPs.
  • Support the team in following through on corrective and preventive actions for any identified variances.
  • Work with project coordinator to coordinate travel schedules and logistics for the Construction Services Travel Team to required areas and sites.
  • Ensure team members are trained, prepared and equipped (tools & PPE) for travel and on-site operations.
  • Lead cleaning crews onsite and assign daily work based on project priorities and construction schedules.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate production, quality, and safety expectations.
  • Coordinate face to face with General Contractor personnel for day-to-day safety & operations items.
  • Monitor employee productivity, attendance, workmanship, and adherence to safety requirements.
  • Perform quality inspections and ensure completed areas meet company and client standards before turnover.
  • Track daily manpower, hours worked, areas completed, equipment, supplies, and field conditions.
  • Communicate schedule changes, additional work requests, delays, damage, or scope concerns to the Operations Manager.
  • All other duties as defined by Operations Manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cleanroom or controlled environment cleaning operations, with at least 1-2 years in a Foreman role.
  • Strong understanding of construction work environment, data centers, cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory compliance in cleanroom environments.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required to various locations and customer sites.
  • Proficiency in document control and record-keeping practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement corrective and preventive actions effectively.
  • OSHA 30 trained

Education and experience

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
