You will be responsible for overseeing commercial or residential projects from the initial concept to the final nail. You will work with a team of professionals to ensure our projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the construction project from planning to implementation.
- Allocate resources for assigned projects.
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in the construction industry.
- Proven experience as a construction project manager.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and construction/project management software.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- A team player with leadership abilities.
- PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
- Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets.
- Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures.
- Extensive experience managing budgets for large construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
