About the role

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction-management project. They lead, direct, and coordinate the day-to-day management of the project and report directly to the Project Executive, collaborating with all departments throughout the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Preconstruction
    • Ensure proper tools and processes are in place prior to project start
    • Review the general contract and contract documents; confirm budget setup and project milestones
    • Work with Purchasing to execute trade buyout, defining scope of work, ensuring scope coverage, and coordinating schedules
  • Construction
    • Lead and communicate with field supervision, subcontractors, and vendors to align work with the project schedule
    • Conduct all schedule and management meetings necessary to monitor and manage the project
    • Manage requisitions, payments, lien releases, and project payroll; maintain optimal cash flow and proactively communicate issues
    • Keep management informed on project and budget progress through regularly scheduled Operations Review Meetings
  • Closeout
    • Create close-out manuals and deliver to owner
    • Create and update Vendor and Subcontractor Contact Log
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or applicable discipline
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize tasks/projects with little supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Procore
