About the Role

As a Security Officer at DK Security, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties. Your duties will vary depending on the specific contract, offering a diverse and challenging work environment.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Be a positive reflection of the company by assisting client staff, visitors, and coworkers while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Observe and Report: Stay alert for suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: Maintain a professional appearance while stationed in lobbies, reception areas, control centers, etc.
• Security Patrols: Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas.
• Access Control: Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas, verify IDs, and follow proper access procedures.
• Safety Patrol: Enforce policies and procedures, report safety concerns, and maintain a secure environment.
• Emergency Response: Assist in emergencies, administer CPR/First Aid/AED, and communicate with emergency personnel.
• Security Liaison: Maintain professional communication with client staff and keep supervisors updated.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must pass a drug screening (including marijuana) at hire and randomly thereafter due to federal compliance requirements.
• Must not have felony convictions or specified misdemeanors (e.g., dishonesty, fraud, assault, weapons, controlled substances, or multiple alcohol-related offenses).
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for 8–12 hours, including stairs, and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be CPR, First Aid, and AED certified (or willing to become certified) and capable of administering lifesaving care.
• Must have 20/20 vision (corrected if necessary) and be able to hear conversations in loud environments.
• Must be proficient in using smartphones/computers for emails and online training.
• Must fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service skills.
• Must complete required training on time and adhere to all policies.

Note: Current or previously disciplined employees may not be eligible.

Pay

$17.60 per hour.

Schedule

Various shifts (Monday–Sunday), including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
