About the role
QISG is seeking a Project Scheduler to support a 286MW simple-cycle power generation project in Eagle Mountain, Utah. This construction-focused role will support project execution by developing and maintaining Primavera P6 schedules, tracking progress, analyzing risks, and partnering with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project Management teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Linear Schedule Method (LSM) and Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules using Primavera P6.
- Create, baseline, update, and analyze cost- and resource-loaded schedules to support successful project execution.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, Project Management, suppliers, and trade partners to align schedules with project goals.
- Integrate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Financial Breakdown Structure (FBS) to support cost tracking and project performance.
- Track earned value metrics (EVM), KPIs, cash flow curves, and schedule performance to identify risks and trends.
- Perform schedule analysis, time impact analysis, and support recovery planning to maintain project milestones.
- Generate schedule reports, dashboards, and project updates for leadership and stakeholders.
- Independently manage project scheduling activities while ensuring compliance with QISG project controls standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing and managing resource- and cost-loaded schedules for EPC, utility, heavy industrial, or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of earned value management (EVM), schedule performance metrics, and project controls principles.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 required.
- Experience with TILOS, Acumen, or other project controls software is a plus.
- Experience collaborating with design, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to support project execution.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Ability to work onsite approximately 75% of the project duration.
Qualifications
- Power generation experience is preferred but not required; strong EPC, utility, or heavy industrial construction scheduling experience is essential.
