Construction Scheduler (P6)
About the role
Bristol Infrastructure Design Services, LLC is hiring a Construction Scheduler to support the Department of Navy. The position involves providing technical guidance to engineers/architects, coordinating with NAVFAC personnel, reviewing project scopes, validating schedules, and assisting in recovery planning.
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers/architects in exercising construction oversight and design management of Capital Improvements projects.
- Routinely communicate and coordinate with NAVFAC personnel within the Facilities Engineering Command.
- Review the scope of individual projects and propose reasonable construction durations.
- Review Baseline Schedules and monthly contractor updates to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Assist in validating impacts to the approved construction schedule.
- Provide analysis on how contractors can recover from current delays to meet contract completion dates.
- Develop, maintain, and provide scheduling training to each field office and personnel.
- Guide Design staff in the proper editing and use of the scheduling guide specification for incorporation into contract documents.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of Construction Scheduling experience; or a combination of an Associates Degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, or Building Construction and 10 years of Construction Scheduling experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of construction scheduling experience utilizing Primavera P6 or its earlier versions.
- Experience in preparing or analyzing Time-Impact-Analysis as it relates to time extension requests or claims.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide technical recommendations/solutions regarding scheduling issues and time impacts on complex problems.
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree, Associates Degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, or Building Construction.
Skills
- Primavera P6 or earlier versions scheduling experience.
- Time-Impact-Analysis experience.
- Technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
