About the role

Essential Utilities, Inc. is a leading provider of water, wastewater, and natural gas services across 10 states. This position plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of project schedules for pipeline construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the development and maintenance of schedules and integrated master schedules.
  • Integrate multiple project plans into a summary program portfolio plan.
  • Identify and resolve resource and schedule conflicts among multiple projects.
  • Maintain project progress, providing weekly status updates and reports.
  • Identify and address schedule variances and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare presentation packages including scheduling and analysis graphics.
  • Support project-specific tasks, reporting, meetings, and data entry under the direction of the Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, GIS or related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction logic and sequencing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Experience or exposure in the construction industry.
  • Experience producing and managing a resource/cost-loaded schedule for the life cycle of a project.
  • Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and Enterprise Management Software like SAP and MRSH.
  • Understanding of advanced planning and scheduling techniques, earned value management, risk analysis, and risk management.
  • Professional certification in AACE, CMAA, or PMI is preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency in completing assigned tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of advanced planning and scheduling techniques.
  • Professional certification in relevant fields.
