About the role

Develop, implement, and maintain Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) and Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs). Perform routine job site safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments. Lead pre-task planning meetings, toolbox talks, and daily safety briefings. Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and develop corrective action plans. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and client-specific safety requirements. Coordinate employee safety orientations and ongoing safety training. Maintain safety documentation, reports, inspection records, and compliance metrics. Partner with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to foster a culture of safety and accountability.

Qualifications

  • 13 years of construction safety experience in commercial and/or industrial projects
  • Mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing construction experience preferred
  • Experience developing Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) and Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs)
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting software
  • Ability to work effectively with field personnel and project management teams

Preferred Certifications and Background

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction (OSHA 510 or OSHA 500 preferred)
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) or other construction safety certifications are a plus
  • Preferred Industry Background: Commercial Construction, Industrial Construction, Mechanical Construction, HVAC, Plumbing, Design-Build Contractors, MEP Contractors

Pay

Annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 (USD)
