Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations and Project Operations team members, as well as the General Contractor and other trade partners
  • Aid in the collection of safety records following training sessions
  • Document all injuries, incidents, and near misses
  • Sign daily paperwork to verify proper hazard and mitigation assessment
  • Maintain large construction sites and enforce compliance with government rules and regulations
  • Conduct audits and daily reports describing activities completed, issues, etc.
  • Stay updated with safety policies and trends, including meeting the latest safety standards and establishing new ones as needed
  • Attend all safety meetings on the job sites

Expertise Required

  • At least 1 year of safety experience in construction, OR 5 years of field/project experience on a commercial construction site, OR a degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or completed an apprenticeship program)
  • OSHA 10-hour construction training course certification
  • Completed OSHA 30-hour construction training course (bonus points)
  • Safety credential through the Board of Certified SafetyProfessionals (e.g., CHST) or actively working toward a certification (bonus points)
  • Experience in electrical construction (bonus points)

This position will maintain safe conditions for people and property, assist with investigating accidents, and emergency response.

Based on a jobsite in Columbus, Ohio.
