Construction Safety Coordinator

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct job-site safety visits, audits, and observations to identify hazards and reinforce expectations
• Support incident and near-miss investigations, including documentation and follow-up actions
• Maintain accurate and timely safety documentation, logs, and compliance records
• Aid in delivering safety training and ensure all required certifications are completed
• Reinforce safety expectations with field teams through consistent presence and communication
• Partner with Foremen, Project Managers, and field teams to support safe execution of work
• Monitor job sites for compliance with OSHA and HY safety standards
• Escalate safety risks, violations, or concerns to leadership as needed

Must-Have Competencies

• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
• OSHA 510 Certification
• Strong attention to detail with documentation and reporting
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with field teams
• Strong follow-through and accountability
• Comfortable working in active job site environments
• Organized and able to manage multiple job sites and priorities
