Construction Project Representative

Responsibilities

• Conducting construction site observations to verify conformance with construction documents and other applicable standards
• Documenting daily construction activities
• Coordinating construction material testing
• Aiding with shop drawing reviews and materials submittals
• Coodinating construction and client meetings
• Reviewing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and change order requests
• Communicating with the project manager and team on construction issues, design intent, and field conditions
• Preparing, reviewing, and distributing weekly and other applicable reports and meeting minutes
• Preparing and processing pay applications and change orders

Requirements

• At least two (2) applicable certifications
• A valid driver's license with the ability to pass Mead & Hunt’s Vehicle Safety Program criteria
• Meet one of the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
  • Associate degree in construction management or related field plus two (2) years of relevant experience
• No degree with at least four (4) years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Municipal construction inspection experience (lift stations, pump stations, forced mains and/or water/wastewater utilities)
• Certifications (FDOT, AWWA, APWA, ACI, FDEP, NASSCO) or a construction contractor license
• Water, wastewater and/or civil construction knowledge
• Ability to work independently
• Other construction trade knowledge (pipeline rehabilitation, electrical, mechanical, survey)
