Responsibilities
- Conducting construction site observations to verify conformance with construction documents and other applicable standards
- Documenting daily construction activities
- Coordinating construction material testing
- Aiding with shop drawing reviews and materials submittals
- Coodinating construction and client meetings
- Reviewing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and change order requests
- Communicating with the project manager and team on construction issues, design intent, and field conditions
- Preparing, reviewing, and distributing weekly and other applicable reports and meeting minutes
- Preparing and processing pay applications and change orders
Requirements
- At least two (2) applicable certifications
- A valid driver's license with the ability to pass Mead & Hunt’s Vehicle Safety Program criteria
- Meet one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
- Associate degree in construction management or related field plus two (2) years of relevant experience
- No degree with at least four (4) years of relevant experience
Qualifications
- Municipal construction inspection experience (lift stations, pump stations, forced mains and/or water/wastewater utilities)
- Certifications (FDOT, AWWA, APWA, ACI, FDEP, NASSCO) or a construction contractor license
- Water, wastewater and/or civil construction knowledge
- Ability to work independently
- Other construction trade knowledge (pipeline rehabilitation, electrical, mechanical, survey)
