What You'll Do as the Construction Project Manager
- Manage hospitality development and renovation projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Cookinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, municipalities, lenders, and project stakeholders
- Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution efforts
- Support entitlement, permitting, and regulatory approval processes
- Develop and administer bid packages, RFQs, and RFPs
- Review construction documents and identify opportunities for scope optimization and value engineering
- Assist with contractor procurement, contract negotiations, and vendor selection
- Maintain project schedules and proactively address delays or schedule impacts
- Ensure project delivery aligns with ownership objectives, quality standards, and contractual requirements
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and lessons learned reviews
Must-Haves as the Construction Project Manager
- 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience
- Experience managing projects through preconstruction and construction phases
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost control, scheduling, and contract administration
- Experience coordinating multiple project stakeholders and consultants
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of CPM scheduling principles
- Ability to travel throughout Southern California for project site visits
Nice-to-Haves as the Construction Project Manager
- Hospitality construction experience
- Experience serving in an owner's representative, development, or ownership-side role
- Ground-up construction experience
- Hotel renovation or repositioning project experience
- Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Experience with Primavera P6
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management platforms
