Construction Project Manager/Estimator

Join our fun, family-oriented team as a working Project Manager who both performs key restoration technician duties and oversees projects from start to finish.

About the role

This working manager position requires after-hours and weekend assignments, which may be compensated at higher levels than the base pay. The pay rate is based on experience in managing projects, workflow, and teams to deliver high-level customer service for residential and commercial clients in the ServiceMaster of Rochester service area.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and work with restoration technicians on multiple jobs.
• Interact with customers, develop scope of work, and create work plans.
• Complete insurance company paperwork and digital documentation.
• Prepare and review estimates for new and existing jobs.
• Work daily with insurance adjusters, agents, and insureds.
• Meet insurance company guidelines and timelines.
• Perform and manage fire, smoke, and odor cleaning and mitigation.
• Complete proper documentation within insurance company guidelines for all fire, smoke, and odor jobs.
• Perform and manage other cleaning duties (e.g., construction cleaning, mold remediation, carpet and upholstery cleaning) as part of mitigation or restoration jobs.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must pass a criminal background check and random drug testing.
• Ability to work independently or lead a team.
• Professionalism, maturity, and willingness to serve customers.
• Responsibility for completing insurance company electronic data on every job.
• On-call availability, compensated at a higher rate than regular work hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in disaster restoration or a related field (preferred).
• Possess or have the ability to obtain IICRC certifications (preferred).
• Experience managing teams.
