We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager II to lead mission-critical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, typically ranging from $100M–$800M, in a collaborative, jobsite-based environment.

About the role

As a Project Manager II, you’ll manage planning, schedules, budgets, and client communication while working side-by-side with Superintendents and project management teams on site. You’ll own project execution, ensuring uptime, mitigating risk, and delivering zero-defect turnover in alignment with Boldt’s safety culture, schedule commitments, and financial performance. This role involves leading cross-functional teams and serving as a key interface with clients operating in 24/7 zero-downtime environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage mission-critical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Superintendents and project teams to drive smart decisions using modern construction technology.
  • Protect uptime, mitigate risk, and deliver zero-defect turnover while maintaining alignment with safety, schedule, and financial goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and serve as the primary client interface in 24/7 operational environments.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation, QA/QC, and turnover excellence.

Requirements

  • Four-year engineering or construction management degree (or equivalent combination of education and industry experience).
  • Four to seven years of construction experience, with at least two years in mission-critical construction projects.
  • Working knowledge of MEP systems and integrated building systems (preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and project financials with accountability.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods and their application in the field.
  • Clear and effective communication skills for collaboration with craft professionals, leadership, and clients.

Nice to Have

  • Basic experience with data center commissioning processes (Level 1–5).
  • Ability to work in dynamic environments with operational constraints and change control requirements.
  • Strong focus on documentation rigor and QA/QC.

Pay

Anticipated salary range: $110,000 - $145,000 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Location: Waukesha, WI (regional travel may be required based on project needs).
