Primary Purpose

Project managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way.

Routine Duties

• Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
• Prepare & follow budget based on scope of work, estimate, and resource requirements
• Track project costs in order to meet budget
• Create and maintain a detailed project schedule and work plan to track progress of each job
• Create and maintain long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
• Manage the relationship with the client and architect group
• Provide project updates on a weekly basis to BCR managers about project budgets, strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Monitor and measure project performance to identify areas of improvement for adjustments
• Weekly job site visits to analyze on-site labor, material, and equipment
• Analyze projects to verify project scope is up to BCR’s standards & done properly via the drawings and specs

Education and/or Experience

• Desired but not required: Degree in construction technology or related field
• Required: Commercial or industrial construction experience
• Desired: 3-5 years of experience in restoration
• Required: Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Required: Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
• Required: Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
• Required: Excellent analytical skills
• Required: Excellent communication skills
• Required: Work well in a fast-paced team environment
