Primary Purpose
Project managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way.
Routine Duties
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepare & follow budget based on scope of work, estimate, and resource requirements
- Track project costs in order to meet budget
- Create and maintain a detailed project schedule and work plan to track progress of each job
- Create and maintain long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
- Manage the relationship with the client and architect group
- Provide project updates on a weekly basis to BCR managers about project budgets, strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Monitor and measure project performance to identify areas of improvement for adjustments
- Weekly job site visits to analyze on-site labor, material, and equipment
- Analyze projects to verify project scope is up to BCR’s standards & done properly via the drawings and specs
Education and/or Experience
- Desired but not required: Degree in construction technology or related field
- Required: Commercial or industrial construction experience
- Desired: 3-5 years of experience in restoration
- Required: Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Required: Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Required: Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
- Required: Excellent analytical skills
- Required: Excellent communication skills
- Required: Work well in a fast-paced team environment
