About the role

Highspring LLC (d/b/a Vaco by Highspring) seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead and manage construction projects from initiation through completion.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and oversee construction projects from initiation through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and work plans.
  • Cook up and maintain coordination with architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal teams.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans to address delays, scope changes, and resource constraints.
  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Manage procurement of materials, equipment, permits, and subcontractor services.
  • Track project costs, approve invoices, and help control expenses to support budget adherence.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to clients, leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, environmental requirements, and company policies.
  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, reports, RFIs, submittals, and closeout materials.
  • Support final inspections, punch list completion, and project turnover.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Several years of project management experience in construction, with a strong record of delivering projects successfully.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and project controls.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, safety standards, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and cross-functional project teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in construction/project management software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial, residential, industrial, or healthcare construction projects.
  • Knowledge of scheduling and construction software such as Procore, Design Build, Plangrid, Sage, or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with cost reporting, subcontract buyout, and change management processes.
  • Understanding of sustainability practices, quality control, and risk management principles.
