About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Construction Project Manager with 5+ years of experience in managing commercial or industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in construction management practices, is well-versed in lean construction principles, and demonstrates fluency in modern construction technology and tools. Must be able to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Lead coordination with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.
- Review, interpret, and mark up construction drawings and specifications.
- Perform contract review, negotiations, and change order management.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
- Promote and implement Lean construction methodologies to improve project delivery, including the Last Planner System, visual displays and pull planning.
- Leverage project management and construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, BIM tools, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, PlanGrid) to streamline communication and documentation.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
- Report on project progress, financials, and key performance indicators to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- Formal training or practical experience with Lean Construction principles.
- Strong technology skills, including experience with construction management platforms and digital collaboration tools.
- Experience with cold-formed steel (CFS) construction methods and installation is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP construction drawings and shop drawings.
