Project Manager Responsibilities
- Cook up and oversee project teams of 2-5 people including construction managers, project assistants, project engineers, and project accountants.
- Develop, review, and manage customer and subcontractor contracts.
- Create project execution plans including schedules, budget limitations, standard construction principals and procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
- Establish a work plan and staffing for each project phase and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Coordinate activities to keep progress on track and within budget.
- Manage the acquisition of CA IOU PV Interconnection and CA DSA approval on K-12 construction projects.
- Read plans and specifications, develop a CPM schedule, and identify key milestones and goals.
- Drive all project activities with subcontractors and customers to ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to outline work plans and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Attend necessary pre and post job walks, review status reports, and coordinate schedules or plans as needed.
- Provide technical advice and resolve problems.
- Serve as the primary liaison for the customer and SitelogIQ team regarding project-related items.
- Ensure project quality control and establish safety plans and goals.
- Manage document control processes and procedures.
- Save all project-specific information, emails, and pictures to the company server regularly.
Project Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager.
- Familiarity with CA IOU Utility interconnect agreements, PPAs, and California Utility Regulatory agencies including CPUC, CEC, and CALISO.
- Experience with DSA approval process.
- Knowledge of electrical theory, National Electric Code, and California Building and Electrical Codes.
- Customer-focused mentality with the ability to foresee and handle objections.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite of products, including MS Project, and Web-based and smartphone applications.
- Procore Software experience a plus.
- Availability for traveling on-site for duties or supervision as required, which may include time after hours or weekends.
Physical Requirements
- Able to climb ladders and stairs, comfortably lift 40+ pounds, and work on feet for extended periods.
