What To Expect
As a Construction Project Manager at Mariana Minerals, you will be integral to the development of new facilities, capacity upgrades, and infrastructure projects. You will oversee the installation of pilot plants and collaborate with various departments such as construction engineering, design, facilities, commissioning, and production. Your responsibilities will span from project inception to completion, including managing budgets, schedules, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
What You'll Do
Project Ownership & Delivery: Take full responsibility for assigned projects, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction, identifying opportunities, and driving cost savings throughout all phases.
Procurement & Commercial Management: Evaluate bids, manage material buyouts, and negotiate commercial outcomes in the company's best interest. Review project plans and ensure compliance with Mariana Minerals specifications.
Contractor & Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams and manage general contractors and subcontractors. Coordinate with engineering, facilities, and manufacturing teams and engage with regulatory bodies and permitting authorities.
Systems & Automation Support: Work with Software Engineering teams to develop and automate project management processes. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior team members.
Health, Safety & Environment: Champion a zero-harm safety culture, lead safety reviews, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements and Mariana Minerals HSE standards.
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
8+ years of progressive construction project management experience in industrial, mining, or processing plant sectors.
Demonstrated track record delivering capital projects of $20M+ on schedule and within budget.
Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Suite, accounting software, and estimating tools.
Strong knowledge of trade terms, materials, methods, codes, contract language, bidding methods, NEC, electrical engineering fundamentals, purchasing processes, and accounting concepts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective reasoning and judgment in fast-moving, site-based environments.
Availability to travel up to 50% to project sites or Mariana Minerals offices.
Experience with EPC/EPCM project delivery models.
