Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Construction Project Manager to lead renovation, maintenance, and capital improvement projects throughout the Chicago area and Wisconsin. This role is responsible for managing projects from initial planning and scoping through completion while maintaining a strong presence in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scope and plan construction, renovation, and maintenance projects
  • Develop project budgets, timelines, and material requirements
  • Coverage and management of an in-house construction team across multiple projects
  • Schedule, direct, and oversee outside contractors and specialty vendors as needed
  • Order materials, equipment, and supplies while managing project costs
  • Hold teams accountable to project schedules, deadlines, and quality standards
  • Identify and resolve project challenges before they impact timelines or budgets
  • Aid with project execution, field work, punch lists, installations, repairs, and other hands-on tasks when needed
  • Maintain organized project documentation, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate inspections, permits, and project closeout activities
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction, facilities, renovation, or project management experience
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, tools, materials, and building systems
  • Experience leading teams and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience managing budgets, purchasing materials, and scheduling work
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability
  • Comfortable working both in the field and in a project management capacity
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the Chicago area and Wisconsin

  • Commercial construction
  • Clubhouse, hospitality, or recreation facility renovations
  • Restaurant or retail build-outs
  • Facilities maintenance and capital projects
  • Managing both in-house teams and subcontractors
