Construction Project Manager
About the role
At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Construction Project Manager to join our talented team located in Ridgefield, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate contractual requirements, project specifications, and design drawings.
- Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, procurement, billing, and cash flow projections.
- Conduct progress measurement, earned value analysis, schedule updates, and change management reporting.
- Prepare project documentation, including meeting minutes, monthly reports, and applications for payment.
- Oversee contract administration, punch lists, warranty review, and as-built documentation.
- Monitor project resources, maintain scopes of work, and communicate expectations across the team.
- Track and report on project costs, ensuring alignment with budgets and field conditions.
- Build and maintain client relationships and participate in schedule, safety, and quality oversight.
- Collaborate with Project Services on cost management and support safe project execution through coordinated site oversight.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required to support successful project delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5-15 years of experience in Project Delivery on pharmaceutical construction projects is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related discipline, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Demonstrate significant experience in terms of industry knowledge.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods.
- Must possess the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.
- Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladders as necessary.
Safety
This position is a safety-sensitive position. The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other "non-administrative" areas. All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.
