About the role
HEAPY Solutions is seeking a Construction Project Manager II to support complex electrical and MEP infrastructure projects in our Indianapolis market. Ideal candidates will have strong electrical construction or electrical design experience, enjoy leading projects from planning through execution, and build trusted relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations for assigned construction projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and communication strategies.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, engineers, architects, and vendors to achieve project goals and owner expectations.
- Coordinate project meetings, site visits, inspections, and progress reporting activities.
- Support contractor and subcontractor oversight to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant work.
- Monitor project costs, forecast expenditures, and progress billing information.
- Resolve project risks, conflicts, delays, or quality concerns while advocating for the client's best interests.
- Oversee electrical systems and infrastructure installations, ensuring alignment with project requirements and design intent.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety requirements, and company standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and reliable project execution.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, operations managers, and project teams to support successful project delivery and colleague engagement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7–10 years of experience managing electrical infrastructure, electrical construction, or complex MEP construction projects.
- OSHA Safety Training/Certification required.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction processes, power distribution systems, project sequencing, and construction coordination.
- Experience managing electrical infrastructure projects such as power distribution, medium-voltage systems, emergency power systems, utility coordination, or similar electrical scopes.
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and client stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
