Construction Project Manager
About the role
Yukon Management, LLC (YML) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee federal construction projects with the company, based out of San Bernardino County, CA. Work would entail the management of projects with multiple crews to drive safe and effective project performance. Under the general supervision of the General Manager, the Project Manager will support planning, and logistic, work sequencing and production on major field efforts to optimize project and team performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the project management team, including mentorship and guidance through all involved processes such as scheduling and procurement
- Manage all areas and aspects of the construction management process
- Resolve issues that may occur throughout the job by applying knowledge and previous experience
- Create and implement safety plans
- Works directly with Site Superintendent to coordinate crews, subcontractors and suppliers to optimize production and project performance
- Supervise on-site work to ensure the project meets the project objectives, schedule and budget
- Maintain relationship with Client, Customer and Operations Manager, and respond as needed to inquiries, inspections, and requests
- Maintain and enforce safety regulations and ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner
- Play a key role in the Business Development and Procurement in the Federal Construction space
- Perform incidental tasks related to the position as well as various duties, as assigned, to support the overall objectives/goals of the team while maintaining a positive attitude
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or the sciences preferred
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience supervising various types of construction projects (Demolition, Civil, Renovation and Design/Build)
- At least five to seven years of experience in Federal Project Management role, with the ability to manage multiple projects up to $15M
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with USACE safety, cost tracking, and reporting protocols
- Extensive knowledge of State and Federal regulations
- Experience working with Federal clients and knowledge of the FAR that commands project management fundamentals
- 30-hour OSHA, current 8-hour refresher, a plus
- 40-hour EM 385-1-1, current 8-hour refresher, a plus
- Rock Mitigation experience, a plus
- USACE Construction Quality Management preferred
- Current First Aid/CPR preferred
- Sourcing vendors, preparing scopes of work and working with estimators preferred
- Understand construction management principles preferred
- Ability to perform quantity takeoffs preferred
- Drainage structures, demolition, water infrastructure construction experience preferred
- Possession of a valid driver's license; must qualify for company insurance coverage based on driving record
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Team, and SharePoint
- Experience in Alaska Native Corporations and government contracting preferred

- Ability to perform lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
- Mobility to move around the office to attend meetings, access shared resources, and collaborate with team members

Pay
$100,000 - $134,300 per year
