About The Role

As a Construction Project Manager at Galloway, you'll be the connective tissue between owners, designers, contractors, and the field — keeping projects on track from pre-construction through closeout. You'll spend your days moving between the jobsite and the office, leading punchwalks and progress meetings one moment and coordinating budgets and change orders the next, all while working hand-in-hand with a team that values clear communication and proactive problem-solving as much as technical know-how.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Project Management: Monitor contractor operations to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and obligations through pre-con meetings, progress site observations, punchwalks, and weekly coordination with contractors.
  • Coordinate and schedule various phases of construction inspections, SWMP implementation, and permit compliance.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving field issues and conflicts in coordination with the project team and supervisors. Work collaboratively with owners, designers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and process comprehensive project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, field directives, and change orders. Document all field activities and site observations. Create and present weekly and monthly project reports and conduct weekly progress meetings.
  • Scheduling and Closeout: Perform project schedule analysis, manage punchlists, warranty reviews, and project closeout procedures.
  • Relationship Management: Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, subconsultants, and agency staff, demonstrating the ability to read and interpret complex plans and specifications.
  • Admin Duties: Plan reviews, submit contract amendments, attend virtual meetings to discuss project scopes, cost estimating, budgeting, invoicing in the office. Prepare and present site investigation findings to client, and provide professional recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management or Related field preferred
  • Typically, 8+ years of experience in Construction Management and Project Administration
  • Ideal candidates will have construction management experience on asphalt and concrete pavement projects.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to flex from construction management work to in-office coordination and team support.

Pay

Estimated starting salary for this position is between $115,000 – $140,000 based on experience.
