About the role

A Construction Project Manager will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day project management of crews, equipment, and subcontractors on a wide variety of work from private and commercial contracts to state and federal contracts.
  • Maintain daily project quantity records and monitor job costs.
  • Work with project owner/engineer to make field adjustments that save time and money.
  • Maintain project schedules, monitor material needs, and ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Complete project pay applications and invoices.
  • Meet with private and public customers to understand the scope of work and design projects.
  • Review bid documents, complete quantity take-offs, and develop production rates.
  • Assist Area/Division Manager in completing estimates and submission of bids.
  • Prepare and submit all successful bid contract documents and ensure paperwork is properly executed.
  • Coordinate with management, production crews, and quality control department to ensure the highest quality products and services.
  • Follow the Company’s safety programs and policies to prioritize safety and wellness in road construction processes.

Requirements

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Technology, or related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Effective communication skills and comfort developing relationships with customers and team members.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and enjoy the entire project process from bidding to project turnover.
  • Desire to work outside in a fast-paced environment.
