About the role
Cumming Group is seeking a Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team in Columbia, SC. This is a client-facing role working on a new build higher education project currently in the construction phase.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and coordinate all aspects of the project schedule, scope, and cost.
- Value engineer the project by identifying opportunities for savings and ensuring material substitutions are equal.
- Communicate with project stakeholders.
- Evaluate documents and communicate the client’s specific goals and expectations to all project team members.
- Develop and communicate action plans that will lead the project team throughout the project.
- Evaluate the contract scope of work as the project progresses against the goals, expectations, and the needs of the client, and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- Organize and maintain framework for project team processes and record keeping of electronic and physical documents.
- Ensure the project design management continues to follow the client project documents such as budget, scope, schedule, and client's design standards.
Requirements
- Experience developing and driving action plans.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor scope throughout the project and recommend adjustments when necessary.

Qualifications
- Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field is preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of field experience at the assistant superintendent, superintendent or project management level in the commercial construction industry.
Skills
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Benefits
The salary range for this full-time role is $88,300.00-$117,766.68 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary.
