Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Aid in the development and management of project strategic plans and program initiatives.
• Act as Owner’s Advisor throughout all phases of project management.
• Manage the entire planning, design, and construction process and coordinate all activities related to design and construction.
• Guide clients through the complexities of design and construction, incorporating ownership priorities into design, construction logistics, and sequencing.
• Coordinate with the architect, contractor, and other project team members to meet project objectives and resolve issues.
• Lead all aspects of contract management, including negotiation, drafting, and execution.
• Oversee the overall project budget and schedule, reporting regularly to the project team and client.
• Review, level, and analyze proposals, presenting to the client.
• Select and negotiate with consultants and vendors, including preparing RFQs/RFPs, researching and comparing firms, and recommending optimal business terms.
• Lead the selection process within firms.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Required: 5+ years of experience in construction project management on higher education, life sciences, commercial interiors, and/or hospitality projects.
• Firm knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequences, as well as architectural/construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as business presentation skills.
• The ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and staff across organizational lines, including other client business units.
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines.

Pay

The salary range for this full-time role is $111,400.00 - $148,533.35 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client, and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
