Responsibilities
- Aid in the development and management of project strategic plans and program initiatives.
- Act as Owner’s Advisor throughout all phases of project management.
- Manage the overall planning, design, and construction processes and orchestrate all related activities.
- Guide clients through the complexities of design and construction, incorporating ownership priorities.
- Coordinate with the Architect, Contractor, and other project team members to meet project objectives and resolve issues.
- Negotiate, draft, and execute contracts.
- Manage the overall project budget and schedule.
- Report regularly to the project team and client.
- Lead proposal review, leveling, and analysis, presenting to the client.
- Select and negotiate with consultants and vendors, including preparing RFQs/RFPs and researching and comparing firms.
- Manage the closeout process.
- Develop and maintain beneficial business relationships with Owners, Architects/Engineers, and subcontractors for business development and marketing.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a closely related field is highly preferred.
- At least 5 years of project management experience in construction-related fields, specifically in luxury hospitality, commercial, and/or school projects.
- Demonstrate a high level of discretion and responsiveness in working with ultra-high-net-worth clients.
- Proficient in PC-based scheduling and spreadsheet applications, including MS Project and Excel.
- Demonstrate proficiency in areas such as project management, design management, estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, field supervision, financial reporting, client relationships, and possess firm knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequences, as well as architectural/construction drawings and specifications.
- Show excellent analytical skills and success in managing projects.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as business presentation skills.
- Be able to effectively interface with all levels of management and staff across organizational lines, including other client business units.
