About the role
Manage the Schedule, Scope, and Budget of assigned Capital & Expense Construction Projects. Coordinate and Direct General Contractors, Architects, Engineers, Municipalities, and authorities having jurisdiction, from project permitting to completion.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural and engineered drawings for accuracy and conformance to standards; document and recommend corrections as needed.
- Research, investigate, and secure all necessary building, trade, and construction permits; coordinate or initiate the application process and track permit release.
- Identify all utility requirements for each project, including locations, permits, easements, and construction methods; coordinate paperwork and installation.
- Ensure compliance with construction schedules, quality of work, and cost control within authorized budgets.
- Supervise, review, and accept all work performed by General Contractors, including change orders.
- Assist the Construction Purchasing Manager in preparing the “Take-Off” or “Equipment” list and ordering the correct equipment for projects.

Requirements
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management (Preferred: Civil Engineering or Construction Management).
- Minimum Experience: 5 years in Construction Management (Preferred: 7 years in Retail and/or Petroleum Construction Management).
- Licenses/Certifications: Professional Engineer, PPM, or other Professional Project Management Designation, Construction Supervisor, or Trade Licenses (preferred).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, detail-oriented, and process-driven; comfortable interacting with others.
- Travel: Up to 50%, depending on geographic location; must have a clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Ability to stand/walk 8 hours a day; reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, grasp, and work in cooler temperatures. Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Pay
In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is provided. Final pay within this range will be based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
