What You’ll Do
- Direct, coordinate, and oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring seamless planning, organization, and execution from start to finish.
- Leverage your expertise and project specifications to accurately estimate the materials, equipment, and manpower required for successful project delivery.
- Utilize advanced bidding software to generate competitive project bids and proposals.
- Travel to prospective sites, assess current conditions, and build strong relationships with site owners and their representatives.
- Develop, submit, and manage bids and quotes, and maintain ongoing communication with owners, contractors, and engineers.
- Track project quantities at every phase, adjusting as necessary to ensure precision and efficiency.
- Prepare comprehensive estimates, proposals, sealed bids, and subcontracts.
- Generate key reports for leadership, providing valuable project updates and insights.
- Lead, organize, and staff key field positions, collaborating closely with regional department heads.
- Establish clear project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in alignment with company values.
- Monitor project progress through close collaboration with on-site Superintendents, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
- Proactively address and resolve challenges with creative solutions.
- Represent the company at client and strategy meetings, serving as a knowledgeable and persuasive ambassador.
- Oversee contract financials, including fee payments, equipment rentals, and project expenses, balancing company interests with client satisfaction.
- Take on additional leadership responsibilities as needed—your initiative and adaptability will be key to your success.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or equivalent training and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on construction experience; background in design, finance, or management is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, motivate, and lead teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving innovation and change.
- In-depth understanding of industry practices, standards, and their direct impact on project success.
- Proficiency with bidding and project management software.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license (DL/CDL, Class A and/or B with hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
- Commitment to safety—strict adherence to all safety requirements and company policies, including PPE and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
- Willingness to travel, work nights and weekends as required, and adapt to changing project needs.
- Regular attendance is essential.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.
- Sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed.
- Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
- Specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
