About the role

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the full execution, financial performance, and successful delivery of assigned construction projects. This role owns project planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and field execution to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Own project execution from award through closeout, including schedule, cost, and margin performance
  • Lead contract administration activities including RFIs, change management/change orders, and documentation
  • Build, manage, and recover project schedules; lead planning and coordination with field leadership and subcontractors
  • Manage project financial controls including forecasting, cost tracking, and job health reporting
  • Lead internal and external project meetings; communicate status, risks, and action plans clearly
  • Career development and mentoring of Assistant Project Managers and project support staff
  • Support invoicing and client-facing documentation required for payment and change recovery

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing construction projects with direct accountability for schedule, cost, and execution outcomes
  • Experience leading contract administration, including RFIs and change orders
  • Industry experience in power delivery construction (transmission, distribution, or substation)
  • Practical understanding of construction means, methods, materials, and equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work within project management and scheduling systems
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required by project assignments

  • Experience leading distributed teams across multiple project locations
  • Strong change management and issue-resolution skills
  • Leadership capability to mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers
  • Clear, professional communication skills with clients, field teams, and internal stakeholders

Pay

This is an exempt, salaried position. The pay range is: $100,000 – $145,000. Compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience.

Schedule

Position is based on site at project locations in Denver, CO and requires approximately 50% travel, or as needed, to support project execution.
