About the Role

As a program and project management specialist, you will help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication. You’ll implement and maintain organizational programs to empower our clients in achieving their mission and objectives. Your role involves working with key stakeholders to review contracts and project cost accounting, tactical planning using resources like Microsoft Project, and regular interactions with SMEs, schedulers, customers, and project analysts. Effective communication is key to ensuring programs achieve their goals and meet quality standards.

This is an opportunity to influence a meaningful mission while developing and maintaining program strategy. You will guide the United States Air Force through advanced aerospace testing, modernization of infrastructure, and digital transformation to accomplish its program goals within budget, improving warfighter capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver hardware-based solutions in a project or program management role.
  • Use Microsoft Project to build and manage project delivery.
  • Write technical proposals.
  • Manage delivery to a contract.
  • Independently manage work efficiently as a self-starter.
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget for all elements of a project.
  • Identify, manage, and communicate project risks to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience developing and delivering hardware-based solutions in a project or program management role.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project to build and manage project delivery.
  • Experience writing technical proposals.
  • Experience managing delivery to a contract.
  • Ability to function independently as a self-starter and manage work efficiently.
  • Ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget for all elements of a project.
  • Ability to identify, manage, and communicate project risks to senior leadership.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience using EVMS to manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Experience managing DoD research and development programs.
  • Experience managing programs to design and deliver integrated hardware and software systems.
  • Experience working with suppliers and managing product delivery to a set of requirements.
  • Experience using the Agile framework and the Sprint or Scrum approach to project management.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or 3D CAD design software.
  • Excellent problem resolution and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; Master’s degree in Engineering a plus.
  • Project Management Professional Certification.

Pay

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.

Work models include:

  • Remote: Primarily remote work, with occasional in-person requirements at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
  • Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as needed.
  • Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.

For virtual work, employees are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
