About the role
AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Manager to be located in Sacramento, CA. This position offers significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Manages, oversees and coordinates all facets of the pre-construction, bid and award, construction and close-out phase of all assigned projects
- Reviews pre-construction documents and submits comments to Designer as necessary
- Plans, organizes, and prepares reports to upper management with respect to the status and/or progress of the projects
- Covers with all pertinent public agencies during pre-construction and construction to comply with all off-site work
- Covers with various District and Project staff
- Manages both the project budget and schedule to meet the District’s qualitative standards
- Makes a monthly review of the project budget and ensures that the budget accurately reflects the project status/progress
- Manages daily activities of the contractor, reviews contract construction schedules submittals and coordinates responses to the contractors’ inquiries and other related documents
- Reviews substitution submittals from contractors to ensure specification and/or District requirements are complied with
- Receives, reviews, and negotiates Contractor Change Order Proposal(s) to achieve a fair & reasonable price in accordance with the General Conditions; reviews and addresses any and all Schedule impacts in accordance with the project specifications in a timely manner
- Reviews the process and monitors payments for the contractor, architects, engineers and any other pertinent parties
- Coordinates District delivery of related fixtures, furniture and equipment
- Provides overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies
- Provides technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, maintains close client interface, and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors
- Maintains monitoring and management of project close-out with respect to project certification with the Division of State Architects (DSA) and project financial close out
Qualifications
- BA/BS + 4 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience with the Division of State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes
- Experience with landfill site construction and State and Local Agency coordination
- Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently; proficiency in managing construction on active educational facilities
- K-14 Project Experience
- Lease Lease Back Experience

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $107,000 to $190,000 per year.
