Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of the project life cycle from pre-construction through closeout.
- Create, manage, and track project budgets to ensure financial performance and cost control.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, monitoring progress and adjusting as needed.
- Manage the Request for Information (RFI) and submittal processes to ensure timely and accurate communication.
- Lead project buyout activities, including procurement and negotiation with subcontractors and vendors.
- Prepare, manage, and administer subcontracts throughout the project.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Oversee cost management and reporting, providing regular updates on financial status and forecasts.
- Identify, address, and manage the resolution of project issues and conflicts in a timely manner.
- Manage project staff, providing direction, coordination, and support to ensure successful delivery.
- Lead and coordinate the project closeout process, ensuring all documentation, punch lists, and final requirements are completed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience managing projects as a Project Manager for a Commercial General Contractor.
- Demonstrated project management experience in commercial construction.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction plans and specifications.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong math and analytical skills for budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
- Construction management and estimation experience.
