About the role

This role leads the full interior build-out of a newly acquired industrial facility in Seattle, taking the project from planning and design through construction execution and completion. The building shell is in place, and you will develop and optimize interior layouts to support manufacturing operations, including masking and packing departments. You will collaborate closely with leadership and corporate stakeholders, coordinate contractors and vendors, manage budgets and schedules, and establish the processes and systems needed to deliver a high-quality, on-time, and on-budget facility. Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a full interior facility build-out for an industrial manufacturing site.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, plans, specifications, and related project documentation.
  • Collaborate with operations leadership to design and optimize facility layouts, department locations, and workflow for manufacturing, masking, and packing areas.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, track progress against key milestones, and adjust plans as needed to maintain timelines.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and manage contractor and vendor bids, ensuring competitive pricing and alignment with project requirements.
  • Coordinate the work of architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders throughout all phases of construction.
  • Manage project budgets, including cost control, cost oversight, and invoice and billing activities.
  • Oversee subcontractor buyout, negotiate with subcontractors, and manage change orders to maintain budget and scope integrity.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure alignment with project objectives, quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and resolve project risks, conflicts, and scheduling challenges in a proactive and timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain project tracking tools, reporting processes, and documentation systems to support effective project control.
  • Provide regular project updates and status reports to leadership and corporate stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate multiple vendors and trades working concurrently within an active project environment.
  • Support design coordination efforts to ensure constructability, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with operational needs.
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy, driving the project forward with limited oversight while maintaining strong communication and stakeholder alignment.

Essential Skills

  • 3–5+ years of project management experience in commercial or industrial construction.
  • Experience managing interior renovation, tenant improvement, or facility build-out projects.
  • Experience working for a general contractor, owner's representative, or tenant improvement contractor with strong construction project experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, plans, and specifications, including office tenant improvement project plans.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, cost control, and construction cost management.
  • Experience overseeing project schedules, including schedule oversight and use of scheduling tools such as MS Project.
  • Proven ability to manage contractor relationships and coordinate multiple subcontractors and trades.
  • Experience with subcontractor buyout and negotiating with subcontractors.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a high level of autonomy and organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and drive projects forward with limited oversight.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
  • Experience with design coordination in commercial construction environments.
  • Ability to provide cost oversight, schedule oversight, and delegate tasks on interior renovation and tenant improvement projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or operational facility projects.
  • Familiarity with contractor procurement, bid evaluation, and construction cost management processes.
  • Experience coordinating multiple vendors and trades within an active project environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented approach to project management.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for project outcomes.
  • Comfortable building processes and systems from scratch to support project tracking and reporting.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, especially in contractor and stakeholder interactions.
  • Ability to balance operational needs, project deadlines, and budget constraints while maintaining quality.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with leadership, operations teams, and corporate stakeholders.

Work Environment

This position is based 100% onsite in Seattle at the company headquarters during the initial phase of the project, ensuring close collaboration with operations and leadership teams and direct oversight of the interior build-out. After a few months in the role and demonstrated performance, there may be potential for some remote flexibility, depending on project needs and responsibilities. The work environment centers on an industrial facility undergoing an interior build-out to support manufacturing operations, including masking and packing departments, requiring frequent interaction with contractors, vendors, and technical stakeholders on site.

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
